I have about 14k photos & videos on my iMac. I recently switched to Photos, signed up for more iCloud space, and started uploading my library, after having bought an rMB.
After about 4.5k photos have been uploaded, I started working on my library from the rMB, and then notice that the iMac wasn't synched, and it didn't seem to be uploading any more pics, even though it said it was uploading them. I know, this was probably my first mistake.
I decided to start over, so I disabled Photos iCloud sync in all my devices, and then reactivated it only on the iMac. Unfortunately I couldn't find a way to delete the whole library on the cloud without affecting the local library.
Now, 4 days later, and I see no change. I've left my iMac on 24/7, without it going on sleep mode, and I'm not using it at all. The progress bar for the upload barely moved on the first day, and it hasn't moved since. I've tracked network activity using Activity Monitor, and there has barely been any upload/download activity. For uploads, it went from 2.98GB two days ago, to 3.02 today. And no, it's not using dial up.
Sorry for the long post, but wanted to provide as much relevant info as possible. What can I do? just wait?
