I will be putting up a blog sometime soon with new software, and although I have used WordPress as my main blog before, I can't stand it. I am thinking about using RapidWeaver since it can make beautiful websites and I have also heard that it is very good for blogging, although this is not the main focus, anyone ever tried this yet?

I use Rapidweaver for my simple blog - in fact I use the Rapid Blog plugin - works great.

RapidWeaver

RapidWeaver comes with a blog web page template. You should probably try out the software to see whether it suits your needs.

One warning: don't expect much from their Help files, they seem to be a complete mess as of July 2011. I currently rely on my version 4 user guide to try to figure out some of the many features that have no apparent documentation to explain them. Their user forums look like they haven't been used by anyone recently.
