As posted in a thread in the iPhone forum:
from amazingdm: (after removing an IS) "But now the screen is a bit frictiony, like if I drag a finger across it it's more prone to sticking. Is that residue from the IS? If so will it disappear?"
reply from br0adband: "It's either that or you potentially damaged the oleophobic coating..."
Has anyone ever had any experience with removing an IS (or any other brand) and having it remove/damage the oleophobic coating? I have a clearcoat on mine now, and I like it just fine, it is doing a good job. However, if there is any history or truth that eventual removal can damage the oleophobic coating, I will remove it ASAP.
Thoughts?
