Hi guys,

Just a quick question. I've turned off handoff on both my ipad and my iphone but everytime I use safari on my ipad I always get all the tabs I had on my iphone popping up.

Is Safari handoff always turned on?

Thanks!

If you open Safari on the iPad, it quickly checks with iCloud what tabs were opened on your other devices. It's pretty much instant.

I assume it's not doing that when Safari isn't being used, though.

Thanks Interstellar,

I assumed it worked like that.

If you mean the tab list in the Tab view, those are “iCloud tabs” that sync with your bookmarks. It is controlled by the Safari option in your iCloud settings.

Handoff works independently from iCloud tabs.
