Is Silver a new color this year?

I currently have the darker silver iPhone 5...now I notice they make a Gold and now a lighter silver, is that new for the iPhone 6?

No, silver's been one of the colors since the iPhone 5.

We've had the white and silver combo since the iPhone 4.

No new colors this year, just more of the silver and gold (relative to white) and space gray (relative to black). I wish they went with Space Black (found on the Apple Warch) instead of Space Gray.

I think the silver back is less likely to show scratches compared to the space grey, but I want all black, so will have to put up with the marks for a black front phone

coming from owning the original iPhone (one color, black front), black 3GS, black 4, slate 5. I'm switching it up and going with the silver/white front. the black front shows a lot of flaws and fingerprints. I have some good hairline scratches and I can assume the oleophobic coating is wearing off because the "anti-fingerprint" is not the case.

no case and no screen protector. a friend has the space grey 5s and it does look pretty slick compared to my slate 5 but i'll still go with the silver/white front iPhone 6 64GB.
