With iOS 7.1, Siri does not understand the phrase "All Caps" and furthermore, the voice-to-text feature (is that considered Siri?) will not transcribe that phrase in Messages and Mail.

This is not a transcription error; rather, she simply ignores that particular phrase. However, the word "All" and the word "Caps" are recognized when they are uttered individually.

Is this a bug or is there some other reason the phrase "All Caps" is ignored? Are there other phrases that she doesn't understand? I am perplexed.

Maybe it's not a she, it's an it...

Maybe it's not stupid...sentient beings can be stupid...

Maybe it's just a program that doesn't do what the user wants it to do...

Maybe it's not programmed to do what the user wants it to do...

Anthropomorphizing...ppffftttt!:p

Siri doesn't understand anything I say since iOS 7, and she still can't have a conversation for my life. She picks up key phrases like "tell me a joke" and stuff but most of the time when I say something she'll give me some nonsensical response like "Nothing, thanks for asking" when I was asking her to do something.

I asker her today if she was or ever has been a Communist*. I wasn't surprised when she took the fifth! :D

*Been reading some Philip Roth.

Maybe she is preparing you for a real life girlfriend... who will basically do the same thing.... ignore you and not understand anything you say.....

So Siri really is doing her job......

Lol that's a good one. I guess I'm just not asking the right questions

I've been through plenty of women. Luckily I don't choose the stupid ones though. Most of my women have been fairly intelligent, and therefore able to understand.

But it's true, maybe Siri is just trying to help :D

Try asking Siri, how many women you been with....see if she ignores you, again!!

Certain phrases can be treated as commands: http://howto.cnet.com/8301-11310_39...rrogate-voice-commands-with-dragon-dictation/
