Hi, It seems that Siri requires to connect to a server to understand what I say to it as it is not answering questions if there is no internet.

I'm wondering whether Siri is uploading raw voice samples to a server to be processed from there or it is just sending some processed data derived using the voice samples recorded from the mic.

Any ideas?

Siri requires an internet connection since it's server based. Your iOS device is just a portal to Siri.

Is Siri uploading user's voice samples to a server?

This doesn't concern me.

Privacy by obscurity; Apple wouldn't be interested in my data over anyone else's, so it's likely it just sits on the server gathering metaphorical dust.

I honestly don't care either but the OP wanted to know.
