Apps Is sky sports on Now TV app (uk) high definition?

Low bit rate (3 mbit) 720p with 2 channel sound, so whether or not that qualifies as HD is up for debate. To my eyes it generally looks terrible, worse than iPlayer and that looks rough.
Sky really phoned in Now TV, especially on the Apple TV. I guess they don't want to cannibalise their satellite product, but the future is streaming, and if they can't be bothered to match Netflix and Amazon picture and sound quality they won't stand a chance. It doesn't help that their Apple TV app is a joke, and far worse than every other Now TV app. Have a look at it on the Roku or PS4 for example, it's street ahead. (but still far inferior to Netflix or Amazon)
