Is Sleep and Wake still a problem with some Monitors?

Finding plenty of websites recommending great monitors for the mini. Especially since a new one is coming next week.
However all the reviews are pretty much based on quality, bang for buck, and thunderbolt/USB C compatibility.
None really go into detail on how they play with the mini.

Any lists of brands or recent models that do play nice? No sleep/wake issues?
The sleep/wake issues are my biggest concern.
