I've recently had my macbook pro crash on me while using it. It just happens randomly, even when just surfing the web or listening to music on itunes.

The screen will suddenly transition to a solid light blue screen. I can hit keys like the volume up and down and hear the little blips, and itunes will even continue to run fine, it's just that the blue screen remains and I can't regain control of the computer until I manually shut it down.

What might be wrong with my computer?

What model is it? Is it the 2007 model with the wonkey nvidia graphics card?

Sorry about not posting which macbook pro, I have. Don't know what I was thinking.

It's an early 2011 Macbook Pro, running OS X 10.6.8.

Verify your disk with disk utility. Probably will not solve the problem.

This blue screen looks like a Graphics Card malfunctioning or some type of bug.
How often does this problem appears?

Run the extended Hardware Test that will take a while maybe 2 hours
