Is Spotlight search from the lock screen fixed from v18?

Spotlight search from the iPad Lock Screen has been unusable for a while now. Has iPadOS fixed this?

The gesture of swiping down is so difficult to hit and works at random.

I haven't noticed it being an issue on the developer beta - but I also didn't notice it being an issue in iOS18 either.
