I was looking at the new MBP 13", and saw that the upgrade from the 250 Gb SATA HD to the 128 Gb SSD is 400 USD.
I'm thus wondering about the price. I know that it has half the space of the SATA drive, but also is at least twice as fast, probably. I don't need too much space in the laptop (it won't be my primary computer).
Is the price right? I mean, we all know that Apple RAM upgrades are overpriced with respect to the same amount of RAM bought elsewhere. Is this applying to the SSD also?
Does somebody knows which is the price of an equivalent SSD in the market? And, also, which brand is the SSD that Apple is including?

Yh, apple is using Last gen. Toshiba SSD, so - mega rip off......Apple :)
Buy your own SSD, otherwise save your money.
I'm going to by a 24" LED ACD instead of a SSD.

Also wait till the Q4 of 2009, for Intel's new SSD.

I suppose it all depends whether or not the hard drive is considered user replaceable by Apple.
