Other Is Starlight an actual new color or is this the new name for Silver?

The iPad mini looks a lot more beige than the iPhone from the images I’ve seen. The iPhone is more off white, with the back glass looking similar to the white iPhone 12, at least in renders.

The metallic colors are reserved for the Pro devices.

Starlight makes it sound a bit metallic but probably looks closer to white in iPhone 12/11/XR.

And the white in the 12 is more off white compared to the stark bright white of the 12 Pro. Apple has this awful habit of not keeping any colors uniform across their product lines!

Personally going forward I think…

Non-Pro Devices will get Space Grey and Starlight whilst Pro Devices will get Silver and most likely a new Deeper Black colour, Apple are likely planning on bringing back the black or Jet Black colour from the iPhone 7 to their MacBook Pro and iMac Pro lines… and next iPad Pro line up.

Looks like a yellowish, dirty white to me. Maybe it will look better in person, but I’m not keen on the pictures I’ve seen so far.

So was the white 12 though. It was like cream, or a very very muted gold. This looks the same.

I suppose the 12 white and 13 starlight may be different, t’s hard to show differences in white in photos.

I hope they are different, but I liked the 12 in white, so this isn’t so bad.

Wow! Surprised to see such a stark contrast here. IRL our eyes may not be able to detect much of a difference, though.

I know this is a product render, but are the 13's Starlight and the 12's White the same? Starlight might be even warmer. Curious if Midnight and last year's black are different too.

Yeah I agree a shade or two light on the iPhone images than the iPad Mini… so I expect it will be something between the two…
