Is superdrive fully compatible with Windows 10 add Linux PC?

Hi, I bought a superdrive about 4-5 years ago. I am building a PC. Can it be used on my Windows 10/Linux dual boot PC? Do I need to download some drivers before they are fully compatible with each other?

The Superdrive needs extra power that a standard PC won't provide. Just get a cheap USB drive if you need one.
