Is T-Mobile iPhone 6S unlocked, just like the 6?

Hey everyone!

Can anyone confirm whether the new iPhone 6S bought via the online Apple Store with T-Mobile as a carrier is unlocked just as it was the case with the iPhone 6? I am asking this because a friend is getting my T-Mobile 6S from the US and I want to make sure that the phone is actually unlocked.

Yes, a 100% unlocked. Just plug it to iTunes and it will confirm that its unlocked

Mine is unlocked and I'm using it with AT&T now, but i bought it outright, is it the same if not bought outright?

I don't think so. Only if bought outright is when its unlocked,

Depends on where you bought it from. If you buy the Tmobile phone from Apple (and paid full price), it's factory unlocked. If you buy it direct from Tmobile, it's locked to them.
