is that ok to upgrade to 1.1.1?

I m currently using ATT service and my iphone did unlock by using iUnlock command line method. I read several post which make me confuse, some people say it won't brick if you have ATT account and ATT sim in you iPhone, but some say they got brick... so just wonder will it brick my iPhone if I upgrade to 1.1.1?

Everything I have read says that if you unlocked the phone by any method and update to 1.1.1 it can get bricked, regardless of the carrier.

Keep in mind adding apps is NOT unlocking, some get that confused.

But I am confused as to why you would unlock the phone if you already have ATT?
