I know there's a third camera and the processor is slightly better. Aside from that, is it much of a step up from the X?

I am considering trading in my paid for X 64gb toward a 11 Pro 256gb. ($550 total discount)

While I would really like the extra storage, I'm really not sure the 11 Pro is worth $600 plus my paid for phone.

At the same time, in one year or so, I imagine I will start noticing performance issues with my X. In the past, it seems the 3 year mark is when these pop up.

Is battery life much of an improvement?

Thoughts?

I guess another option is buying a used X with 256GB storage and hope the battery has more than a year left.

I think it’s definitely a significant improvement on the X. I have an 11 Pro, and the battery life is insane - been using it all morning and I’m still on 80%! To put that into perspective, my old 8 (same age as your X) always needed charging come lunchtime.

The battery life is really great. I'm not sure if that feature alone is worth the expense of upgrading, but if that's the main thing that's important to you, then you won't be disappointed.

Face ID is suppose to be better. I'd wait though. Whether March when iOS 13 is better optimized, or skip all together. It is 10gm heavier too. But I needed zoom and wide angle - and better wifi - so I got an S10+.

There are other threads already that deal with this.

But I went from an X 64GB to an 11P 256GB last week. Wasn't sure I’d notice too much difference but thought next year my 3 year old X would be worth so much less.

No regrets whatsoever. Face ID is better (over and above the iOS 13 improvement), battery is amazing, cameras are night and day (literally) - the whole phone zips along better. I had my X next to the 11P for a few days - the differences are real.

I went from X to 11 Pro, and it's a nice but not huge upgrade. As expected, everything works a little faster than the X. I really like the wide angle lens on the camera.

I believe the iPhone 11 Pro is a significant upgrade from my pre iPhone XS. It’s not one or two features. It’s the big and small changes that add up to a better overall experience for me.

No harm in getting it and trying it out for a week.

I went from X to 11 Pro for a couple of days. It’s significantly faster and you will definitely notice the difference on the camera. X doesn’t do the new “prettifying” of images so that’s what you will notice immediately.

However after much deliberation, I ended up returning it and getting an iPhone 11 instead. I miss the OLED but I’m now getting used to the 11 size and screen. Speed and camera are an even exchange in my eyes as I don’t do too much zoom in photography.

I went from an X to a 128gb 11 non pro. Happy with my decision since it only cost me $350 out of pocket.

I upgraded from the Qualcomm X and I do have to say yes it is. Battery life is noticeably better. Camera is much, much improved.
