Is the 17" Macbook Pro worth it ? (HDef)

Well, i thinking about buying a 17", first i was into the 15. But i will almost never move my macbook around.

So i can buy 15+external display (like 23"), but i really hate when my desk looks messy...

Looking at the 17" now, it looks huge, but well...
They also have HD for about $150 (here in sweden) its a few days extra shipping but well...

is the 17" HD worth it? Or should i go for the 17 (or even the 15...)

i personally think it would be a great shame to get the 17" and not opt for the hi-res screen. i had a 15" before getting the 17" and i don't miss the 15" at all. it's basically just as portable as the 15" and the extra screen real estate is worth any extra effort there might be in moving around with the 17". but since you said you don't plan on moving it much, i def. think you should get the 17" with hi-res.

I agree that you should think about why you're wanting the HD/17" in general. But as an owner of one, I can confidently say that it is awesome. Nothing but a pleasure so far.
