Hi Guys,

Can't find a definitive answer to this but:

Is the Mid-2007 four port Airport Extreme a gigabit hub or a gigabit switch!?

Thanks!

I believe the AEBS has always been a switch, not a hub. But I don't think 2007 version was GbE, it was 10/100. My old AEBS is 10/100 but I just checked, the (c) date on it is 2006 and I know that shortly afterwards they switched to GbE. I think you'll be OK and yes, it should be a switch.

I also worked out that a hub will force all connections to the slowest speed, given that my printer is T-base 100 that would mean I would only get 100Mbit connection if it were a hub.

(But I get 90+MB/sec over my network, so that is fine!)

Sorted :)
