Is the a feature of the new charger or faulty?

Brand new MBA here with the new Magsafe 2 charger.

The charger stays on for a significant amount of time after it is unplugged from the laptop, last night it stayed on green fro close to 10 minutes.

Is this a faulty charger or something else?

I have the new Air too and the light on mine shuts off instantly when removed from the computer. Kinda odd, but at least it still charges the computer?

My 2010 MBP charger does the same thing, sometimes staying on for up to 2 minutes. Never seen it go longer than that, and it's usually off within 5 seconds of unplugging. I'd ask your local Apple store what they think.

Get it changed. Thats not normal. It should turn off as soon as you disconnect.

Don't think that is normal behavior. Get a warranty replacement.
