Is the aim app free?

Ive read through many posts and searchs, and theres still no 100% definitate answer about if AT&T charges you for every IM. On the details on the app it says it sends and receives messages through 3g, Edge, and Wifi, which is data. But ive still read that some people can get charged for this.

You do not get charged for text message when using AIM.

Or if you want only the facts as I know them personally, I do not get charged for text messages when I use AIM. It's all included in the flat data charge.
