Can anyone give me their input on this...

I recently bought an Apple wired full size keyboard to replace a malfunctioning board. Before I open the package I was wondering if the Apple bluetooth keyboard is a viable choice for gaming? I have never used one and I am concerned with possible response and disconnection issues. Would it work fine with fast paced games like shooters and WoW pvp/pve?

Thanks for any advice!
:)

I for one have never had disconnection issues with the keyboard once it's established connection.

The response of the keys is spot on & wouldn't be able to differentiate between it and a wired version.

You should have no trouble with the keyboard, regardless of type of game.

Works fine

Same here. I've been using it for gaming in both OS X and in bootcamp (e.g., Borderlands) without any connection issues or lag. Also, it doesn't wear down the batteries very quickly, so I've never had it cut out from that, either.

Having said that, I never move my keyboard away from my iMac anyway and I often miss the extended keyboard features. Not sure why I went wireless other than to keep my desk uncluttered. Why doesn't Apple make a wireless extended keyboard?

The wireless magic mouse, on the other hand, I do like but I would not use for a FPS. You need a real right mouse button for gaming.

Sounds great, that's what I was hoping to hear! About the only other questions I should've asked is what battery life do you get and will the BT signal work fine going through one interior wall?

If it would work okay I'd really like to have my Mini in the office but occasionally use the keyboard and mouse in an adjacent room, about 10-15 feet away, with a HD TV. If not it's not a big deal and I would still be eliminating some cable clutter.

I'm using a wired keyboard because I need the numpad extension, but yeah, it's great. I imagine the Wireless one would be much the same but with the worry over battery life (my previous Apple BT keyboard died on me during a game of TF2 years back!) and slight few millisecond lag as per any wireless device.

Slight lag and awkward placement of control, alt and function key had me swapping out to another keyboard. in my case a razer black widow. I'm a huge mechanical keyboard fan and for what you're getting it's a total steal.
