I'm a newbie looking for a budget computer to do some video editing, does anyone know if Final Cut Pro will run ok on this iMac?

Apple 21.5" iMac MC508B/A - Intel Core i3, 500GB, 4GB Memory £799.99

I'm going to film a wedding in HD and heard that I can't transfer full HD on to a DVD disc. So can I get an external blu-ray drive for the iMac, if so at what cost?

Thanks for any replies. :)

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPod; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_2_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8C148 Safari/6533.18.5)

My freind has the previous gen imac to that, a 3.06ghz C2D and that handles video editing pretty good. It might not be a speed demon but it works.

I run FCS2 on a 2.4 C2D (late 2007 IIRC) iMac without much of an issue. Motion and Color have some problems due to the anemic GPU, but the rest is fine.
