I am relatively new to posting on the forum and read them for a while now.

An item that peeks my curiosity is ..... When I get my MAC do I have to put the Apple sticker on my car.

Is this badge of honor or something ?

I have multiple professional IT certfication's and tons of Windows PC in the past but never thought of putting a Microshaft sticker on my car.

Im Just curious.

DELL XPS 600, P4 3.6, 2 Gig Ram, 250g + 500g Hdd, Geforce 7800GTX.
Windows XP ( Not Vista... )
Mac Coming Soon :)

Two stickers on my motorbike. Arai helmets and Sharky (the Natal Sharks mascot). Apple stickers are most definitely optional :)

I had the Apple sticker on my car (car is now sold), but I started to get tired of it on there because it was easily recognizable. Everyone kept saying, "Hey, I saw your car at so-and-so..." which got annoying. They said it was the sticker that gave it away.

I live in a small town (40,000). This might not apply or bother you. The new car doesn't have any stickers on it, and I doubt it every will.

Of course it's required!

I don't necessarily think it's a badge of honor or anything, just our own not-so-subtle way of making our superiority known to everyone ;)

Well is windows anything to be proud of

Do you get excited showing people what your mac can do.
As a unix professional you live in a terminal for most of your life.
but it makes you proud at the power, functionality, and stability at your fingertips.

This same feeling translates to the mac whether I am recording a sermon for my church in garageband, making a video for our family, or creating a presentation in keynote. Everything is elegant and powerful, it makes you want to show it off.

for some reason that pride made its way to that sticker I have received in every apple product I have purchased in the past seven years to the rear window of my car

Three vehicles owned, three apple stickers placed on said vehicles.

If you don't I'll find you.

I would say that an Apple tattoo borders extreme. However, I don't think that you have to put it on your car. I have one, for 6 years now. I also put one on my snowboards.

What you need is one of these:

I think a good sticker would be a " Not Window's Vista Sticker.". Here's your new O/S on crack.

It seems to me by looking at the all the car's when Im stuck in traffic that it goes in the right hand corner. I haven't called Apple Support yet to ask them.

You MUST put it on your car, or His Steveness will destroy your very exsitance in ways you can't possibly imagine!

That being said, yes, it's optional.

Yes, it is a rule that you must place your Apple sticker centered on the back window of your vehicle. You must also vehemently defend Apple, its products, market choices, and future, against any and all foes who speak unkindly of them. It is also a rule that you must never call Apple's wares a "MAC" as if the name were an acronym or an I-pod or I-mac with incorrect capitalization and added hyphenation. Violation of these rules means an instantaneous ban and bar from any Apple property or use of Apple products for a period of one year. NO Mac! YOU COME BACK ONE YEAR.

I never put stickers on my cars. I don't feel like advertising for anyone, not even Apple. ;)

Yeah, I'm not big on stickers. Amusingly, my girlfriend, who has stickers from her iPods, has one on her DS and one on her scary Bonneville.... I think she really enjoys what she refers to as the "ghetto" factor. She's so white. ;) :D But I love her.

I didn't realise you were a rider. What machine do you have?

It isn't really a sticker though, it's a vinyl cling. No adhesive, as I recall. I'm gonna put mine in the back window of my car.
