I downloaded the ATi Displays when it was updated a few weeks ago, and it added a Preference Pane to my System Preferences...

Now I'm not a heavy gamer, and the only thing I see in the preference pane that is of use is the fact that you can change FSAA settings...

Now my card is underpowered enough as it is, so I don't think I'll be messing with those anytime soon.

So really, is it necessary to have this update? Would I be better off just getting rid of it?

I'll be getting my VGA adapter today and I'll be utilizing the screen spanning hack today--I hope the ATi Displays update doesn't affect it's usefulness.
