is the ati hd2600xt ok?

I am not a serious gamer; use pro apps most of time. is the stock ati 2600xt a decent video card for Logic Studio and some non-serious photo rendering?
should I wait for the radeon hd 3870? end of May has come and gone.

There will be no 3870. The 8800 is worse at pro apps than the HD 2600. Go for it.

I am using the 2600 and yes, it's far better than the 8800 when it comes to Pro Apps.
