Is the Belkin Car Vent Mount Pro with Magsafe supposed to align with the vertical bar?

I have a Belkin Car Vent Mount Pro with my iPhone 12 mini and it doesn't align with the vertical bar underneath the circle. Is it supposed to? It only aligns with the circle and I can rotate it freely.q

Mine is the same way As yours. I think that the vertical magnet(s) is pretty weak.
