Hello guys. I own an iPhone X, and I am not really the type who needs/wants the latest and best, that is why I do not upgrade yearly. Also, I think the X do what I need in a phone.

That said, one of the main reason I use the phone for is for photos. I enjoy traveling/hiking, and even going to concerts, so I take a lot of photos. Just wondering, is the difference between X and 12 Pro(or even Pro Max) that big that it is a good reason to upgrade? So far, I am contented with the X camera, but if the difference is really that big/good, then I am tempted to upgrade.

I am not really into professional shots, but I do enjoy great quality photos.

MANY THANKS!!!

Just the night mode alone will make a dramatic difference with casual photography. These are iPhone 11 shots, night mode is even better on the newer models and available over all the cameras rather than just the wide lens.

The difference in dynamic range is noticeable. Especially being a hiker you’ll see the sky less blown out in most photos. Also portrait and night modes are significantly improved.

Many thanks guys!!! I guess the low light one is really a good reason to buy. Now I just have to decide which - Pro or Pro Max! lo

I have an X as well and I think even the difference between the XS and the X is massive thanks to Smart HDR, so I’m very excited for my 12 Pro Max!

So, my understanding is that it is all about camera? So if someone do not use that much the iPhone to take photos the iPhone X is not that much past due.

The biggest difference came from iPhone 11 because of ultra-wide, Night mode, and Deep Fusion. The iPhone 12 further improves Portrait and Night modes.

The X and Xs were quite similar but the Xs had some marginal improvements in low light situations.

I went from the X to the 12 pro. The major difference is the camera and the fact apps stay open for longer due to the increased ram. The camera difference from the X is actually amazing. I can finally take great photos in evening.

Zoom in and get more detail and close up, the wide angle should be much better, something my current X lacks..

Confes I picked up Note 20 and the camera is "night and day" difference.

There are reviews out now on what to expect from 12 Pro / Max.
