Hi,

I am thinking of buying the Crucial C300 SSD for my early 2008 MBP, which only supports SATA 1 (1.5 Gbps). The C300 is SATA 3 (6 Gbps) and the specification says that it's backwards compatible to SATA 2 (3 Gbps). Any ideas whether it will work with SATA 1, too?

not sure but that SSD is a waste of money in that computer since the money you spend on the better performance is wasted since the bus can't reach that speed anyway. Also Anandtech wasn't impressed by that SSD as you can see in his review of it the performance drop is quite large over time
