Is the current $100 discount good enough for 13 inch Macbook Pro

The $100 discount on the latest 13inch Macbook Pro is still going on. I wonder if it's good enough to jump on, or better to wait for the Thanksgiving sale.

What's the history on this? I'm surprised to see a discount so early as it was released in July.

It's too dang expensive no matter what the discount is. Dump that useless Touch Bar and bring the price own to $1299, and you'll finally have a MacBook Pro that's worth buying.

Thanksgiving deals have historically been better than this, though not by much. The question is whether waiting a couple months is worth it for the extra savings. If you can last that long, of course, then you could arguably wait until the 2019 ones come out ...
