Is the display technology in the iMac the same as the current Apple Cinema Displays?

They're both LCD, but I think they're different. They have different stats, sizes, etc.

I think the Apple Cinema Displays are S-IPS panels....

I was wondering if the iMac displays were S-IPS too, or maybe TN (cheaper) panels

24" is H-IPS, 20" is TN.

24" is gorgeous, 20"... not so much.

Hopefully in the next iMac update, they'll change that. The 20", 24", and hopefully 30" will have the high quality "H-ISP" LED display.
