Is the Function101 remote any good?

I am wondering about the Function101 remote, which comes in two versions, Bluetooth + IR and IR, only. Any idea, whether it’s any good? Macworld is currently hawking it.

I was looking at this remote as well and noticed that it works on IR rather than Bluetooth.

Based on my experience with IR remotes, it may or may not work well without line-of-sight.

They have a bluetooth version for $39.

I was tempted to get the Bluetooth version but, being in Canada, it cannot be shipped to me for free.
