I have both but may get rid of my iPhone 4 cause I just got the Atrix 4G and I am in need of the money but can the iPad use iPhone4 apps and do everything the iPhone can (exempt of course phone calls)?

It can run all the apps the iPhone can however some of them aren't designed for iPad so even with that huge screen on the iPad, the apps are the same size you would find on the iPhone, but they still run just fine.

Majority of the quality phone apps have been either made universal or created for the iPad. Not really an issue.

You have both, but you never checked to see if an iPhone app would work? Didn't you notice it in the App Store?
