Hi there,

I am interested in buying an iPad mini (specifically, ipad mini 4), I have heard that apple products have the most faithful to the colors screen, therefore recommend to edit photos.

But I want to ask you directly, actually apple (specifically the ipad mini 4) products have a screen that gives true colors?

I have a laptop that their colors are disgusting, that neither good gauging give. Then as there is an app to use the ipad as desktop extension windows then it would be great to see the true colors of the edited photo on ipad.

Whether the question is that, really screen ipad mini 4 is good about the colors and tones?

I hope your answers, greetings and thanks for reading.

Have a look at the link below. It is the display analysis completed by Anandtech and the iPad Mini 4 rated very high in color accuracy.

Just as a side note, the iPad Pro 9.7" introduced a wide color display which is likely to start showing up in other Apple products as they are released, however it is yet to be seen if a new iPad Mini will show up this year and if it will receive a wider color gamut display (current iPad Mini 4 has 100% sRGB gamut).

MAN, really really really thanks, that review helped me a lot!

Now I am 100% convinced to buy the ipad Mini 4.

Really Thanks.

No problem, I have a mini 4 and it is a great little tablet. My advice though is wait until after the keynote tomorrow as there is a chance that the price of the mini 4 may decrease.

Cheers.
No price decrease, but there was a storage increase. Solid advice.

The whole current iOS range (Mini 4, iPhone 6s/6s+, iPad Air 2, both iPP) is great for photo editing. They all have very accurate screens. See the displaymate website for more test results. I do most of my editing on my 6s+ now.

I'm very dubious about this whole "wide gamut" move of Apple. Most cameras, printers, and monitors operate in the sRGB color space. And viewing sRGB content on a wide gamut display can look messed up.
