no clue i'm not an engineer. all I know is my phone does not exhibit the same behavior as the ones in all the videos

Software only. The issue is happening on my 3GS and 4.

Then what's the point? None of us really know for sure, it's just opinion. Besides, if no one posts, then this poll gets instantly buried underneath all the threads where people ARE posting.

This is following the same-old pattern though: new iPhone comes out, some people complain about reception, then some software update magically fixes it.
