Is the iPhone 6s/6s Plus's Leather case the same size as the 6/6plus? Why the change?

Is apple's cases for the iPhone 6s/6splus the same as their 6 counterparts?

I ask because I could go into bestbuy or any store right now and buy 6/6plus cases, but on apple's website the 6s/6s plus case is on backorder/delay and would ship within 1-2 weeks - possibly after the 9/25 date.

Are they making entirely new cases for the 6s/6s plus? I assume this in regards to the added thickness for force touch. And if this is the case, then why is everyone completely on board that the 6/6plus cases will fit perfectly?

the difference is minuscule, so its up to you what you want to buy.. the way it works is, they do have different model numbers, therefore different builds.

its thinner so it will be tighter, and most people prefer that they just get the 6s version for personal comfort.

I purchased the elate slim fit 2 (purely bc i love Elago), if its too 'off' ill just return it. as you can with what ever you choose to buy
