I wanted to get an 8X10" print made from a RAW file to frame and give as a gift. I have seen those Kodak Picture Maker machines in Walmart that you help yourself with and use to make prints from your memory card. They are always very busy and alot of people seem to like them.

Do any of you have any experience with those machines or would it be better to order a print from mpix.com?

I highly prefer Mpix to the instant print-machines. I tried them out once, but my photos' color was off, the contrast wasn't as much as I wanted, and they were all lighter than the photo preview on the screen...

If you have the time, order form Mpix.
