Is the Mac Studio M2 audio locked at 48 kHz over HDMI?

I'd be interested to know if HDMI audio output on the new Mac Studio M2 is locked at the sample rate of 48 kHz. As far as I know, this has been the case with all of the previous Apple silicon machines, but wasn't true of their Intel counterparts.
