i'm about to get a base level macbook pro, and the only thing that would keep me waiting for a couple of months is a bump in the graphics card (the base level one having the 512mb)..

is that likely?

should I wait until august, even if the graphics card isn't going to be upgraded?

thanks

The 512mb doesn't really matter. The 15" screen has a small res. Video memory really only comes in handy for anything such as 1920x1200 and really helps with 2560x1600.

What you should worry about is like a 10600 gt. Don't count on anything soon because nvidia hasn't annouced anything.

Both the 9600gt 256 and 512 run in 128 bit. You wont notice a difference in fps when running games.
If your running say - Adobe After Effects, and Final Cut Pro at the same time, and rendering both programs, thats when your extra 512mb will come in handy.
