Is the mini-DisplayPort bi-directional on the new MBP's?

I was looking at picking up a cheapy mini-DisplayPort to HDMI on Amazon today and noticed a customer complain how that particular cable did not work as a bi-directional cable for use with their iMac.

This got me wondering if the mini-DisplayPort is bi-directional on the new MacBook Pros?

It probably isn't, but is worth looking into.

Alas, probably right. I really wish it was.. would make lan partying sooo much easier to be able to plug an xbox in and use laptops display.

Interesting point actually. The iMac could do it and it would be a nice feature to have.
