Is the official launch date May 5th?

So. I saw online that a best buy near my house had them in stores. So I called the stores and nobody answered. Called literally 5 more times and still, no one answered...anyways I just decided to go to the store...

Get there and the guy tells me they have them in the store but they're not for sale yet. He told me that they will be available for sale on May 5th. He said that apple should also have them in stores the 5th

As anyone else heard that date??

Yep, the official launch date was 10 April (see "Pricing & Availability" in the press release).
