I got a new MagSafe charger which I use at home but I still have the old one in a holder in my car. I use a 30 Watt car adapter from Belkin with the original MagSafe charger in the car.

I don't have any way to test it, but it feels like the iPhone 16 Pro Max charges faster than the iPhone 15 Pro Max used to do in my car. Has anybody made the same experience or maybe even tested it? Maybe I'm imagining it, but every time I've used the car charger in the last two weeks, I was surprised at how much it charged the phone.

I believe the 15pro was capped at 15W wirelessly. The 16 can charge at 25W. But I think only the new MagSafe charger can hit those numbers?

I haven't done any testing, but I've felt like my phone charges faster too! I think it’s a mix of the new model being more efficient and the charger setup in my car. It's always a nice surprise when tech feels like it’s working better than expected. I recently switched to a faster charger myself, and it's made a noticeable difference in how quickly I can top off my phone while driving.

Definitely not in my view. My 16 pro Max does not charge using the old MagSafe charger. When I checked the battery it says slow charging.
I have the new 25w MagSafe charger and to be honest, it doesn’t speed up wireless charging at all. Charges fine with the USB C cable.
