Is the open bottom on Apple cases a non-issue?

How are you open bottoms doing on the phone after some use?

My phone is fine, unless you go to the beach alot or have a job where you're around dirt. I wear my silicone case daily.

The open bottom is like crotch-less panties. Not really a fan.

I left a small piece of the DBrand skin that covers the grill. Leather case wouldn't fit properly with the entire skin on. This was I got bottom protection and premium feel case.

The biggest issue I have with the open bottoms is I find myself slipping the lightning cable in between the phone and the case when trying to plug in blind. Other than that they do surprisingly well. Of course if it were to take just the wrong fall that small space could be the difference between an intact and broken screen. But that is unlikely

Its the only place I have a small nick on my phone after a drop. Which is kind of the obvious flaw...

But in terms of normal wear and tear, there's no marks showing.
