Hi,
I have a scratch in my iPhone 12 Pro and I can feel it with my nail is it in the glass or in the thing that are over the glass? I can't feel it with my fingertip I need to drag my nail over the display to feel it.
Will it effect the performance or quality of my phone?

I can only see it in some angels when the light is right and well It don't bother me and as I'm swapping phone every 12 month I don't "cry" over it but I just want to make sure if it can break something or not.

As you can see now I can't see the scratch but in some angels I can see it. with the right light.

It's a scratch in the glass. The oleophobic coating is too thin for anything like that.

Unless you have a really picky buyer it shouldn't affect resale value too much. It won't harm the phone or alter it's performance.

If you were worried about scratching it, should have used a screen protector.
I had one of those once. It successfully protected itself while allowing the screen behind it to shatter. Until I replaced the screen it did provide useful protection though by keeping my fingers aways from all the rough cracks in the screen.

I hate screen protection and other things. I have always used my iPhone like it was intended from Apple and I have never had any issues with scratching the display before. And I have been using iPhones since the iPhone 3G.

I have a insurance that I only pay 70 USD and then I get a new phone well it's refurbish but I guess you understand what I mean. And the good thing about that is that I get a new phone first then send my old one back :)
And once a year I do swap the phone.

Only pay 50 USD a month for it and that includes data (10GB), text and phone.

I was just wondering if it do effect the phone.

I don't resell my phones I do swap them with my provider once a year :) So that's not a issue for me and as I have the insurance from them (10 USD a month) it don't matter if it's damage or not I always get to swap them once a year.
For mor details regarding that see my post above.

Best way to hide the scratch is by putting a glass screen protector on your iPhone.
Other solution is to replace the screen

Proof then of why it’s a no brainer to use a screen protector. Some major force went through that device by the sound of it and the screen protector was of better quality than the screen itself.

You hate screen protectors even though they are in essence no different in feel than the screen they are protecting? To me that is nonsensical to be honest. You’ve scratched your screen as Apple intended, embrace the damage and enjoy the texture
