Is the SE2 (and Series 8, Ultra) equal to the old S6 processor?

Apple says that the new SE (s8 processor) is 20% faster than the first gen SE (S5 processor).

Macrumors wrote this a while back: ”The newer S6 processors are based on the A13 Bionic in the iPhone 11, and are up to 20 percent faster than the previous S5 processors.”

Not much / nothing has happened in performance from s6 to s8?

This is what scares me a little.. Because the Ultra and WatchOS will probably be asking more and more from the chipset which is now three years old..

Hope the Ultra will not end up being like the ipad 3

SE is a total bargain. Good performance too with the S8 chip. I bought a GPS one to go with my Ultra.
