Check apple.com for stock in your area.
They are in some Apple Stores and people seem to have found a few at Target and Best Buy but there's certainly not much in the way of stock in stores. If you want one from an Apple Store, you are not likely to get one unless you reserve it online and pick up in store.
My local Walmart is saying they can ship it to my house tomorrow one day shipping I'm scared that they won't make the deadline though

Usually between 9-12 in the mornings and between 2:30-5:30 in the evenings.
They may be accurate.
some people have been saying istocknow.com has a tracker to see apple watches at the apple store. People have been reporting watches at Best Buy (which you can check via the BestBuy.com site) or Target. I bought my watch 2 days ago from the Apple store.
This. Although it looks like istocknow only shows the legend that includes the watch on the desktop version of their site.
Edit to say that I successfully used istocknow to check stock levels and reserve 2 7+ 256 MBs the day after launch.
