I'm not sure if its just the photos but it looks light grey than the black iPhone 5.

And....

did they decide to do away with the black version because of the black bezel on the iPHone 5 didn't stay black very long? I know mine is only a few months old and is almost silver all the way around on the smaller bezel sides.

I'm pretty sure it is lighter than the slate iPhone 5. And that was my guess as to why - scratches are probably less visible on the new color.

It's a dark gray. While lighter than the slate of the iphone5. I would say similar

I was in the Apple store today and looked at the new space grey iPods.
They look amazing. The best way I can describe it is a dark gun metal grey. Looks really cool.

I really wish there were more/better quality pics and or vids of all the colors. I have less than zero interest in gold but I am not sure if I want to go back to black or stick with white....

Interesting that Apple have created a specific case for the 5S.. Incoming scuff gate pt. 2, or cashing in on the case business like they have with smart covers? One would think by now they could have improved the shell enough to eliminate the need for a case.. Liquidmetal 6 FTW.

Seems a bit weird to see those pitch black plastic inserts sandwiching the silver aluminum. From pictures I don't think it looks great. I vastly prefer the slate

I missed that, Apple has a 5S case?
