Although it is described as 1 meter, the boots of the cable are roughly the length of the boots on Apple's active Thunderbolt 4 cables (1.8m and 3m), and significantly longer than the boots on their passive Thunderbolt 4 Pro Cable (1m).

I can't find the exact specs of this cable anywhere, and IMO the cable having longer boots could potentially imply that a passive Thunderbolt cable of the same length could potentially not have the ideal signal conditioning circuitry for the Studio Display.

I believe the included cables are active. They're visually identical to the longer TB4 cable Apple sells. I replaced the included less-than-1m cable on one of my Studio Displays with an Apple 1.8m cable, and as far as I can tell from the outside, they're identical other than the length.
