I have a 2016 MacBook Pro 13 inch with Touchbar that is running Sierra 10.12.6, and I am wondering if I should upgrade to High Sierra with all the bugs and security issues that seem to be out there. Should I wait still a bit longer before I upgrade? My computer is running great right now, so I am ok will waiting.

I think it depends on your use case. I'm a software developer plus some graphics intensive things and haven't run into specific issues. Pretty solid for me.

I did have sleep-wake issues on an earlier beta but am not experiencing those now. I don't have issues with clamshell with external monitors - I use an older TB2 monitor with 2017 MBP 15.

FWIW, I have (2) LG 5K displays via TB3 connected to a 2016 MBP. I'm on 10.13.1 now, downgraded from .2 beta.

In one word: NO!
Wait till the severe bugs are ironed out. I dream about rolling back to 10.12.6, but my Photos/iCloud Photos Library would be a complete mess if I did.
