Just what the title says. I know in Australia Apple.com sells sim-free, unlocked and that's it. I've heard multiple people from around Europe mention that they don't have to select any carrier information what they pre-order, everything is sold unlocked and sim-free.
The US needs to get with it and get rid of these ridiculous carrier restrictions. We should be able to pre-order sim-free, unlocked iPhones with full CDMA and GSM support from day 1 just like everyone else.
